If there’s one thing we’ve learned so far from our nation’s reaction to COVID-19, is that human life is worth protecting…well, sometimes. Interestingly, this now seems to be a shared bipartisan mentality. I marvel at the extraordinary measures taken and money spent to keep people from harm, especially the most vulnerable, during this global #Coronavirus response. I’m amazed at all of the rhetoric about caring for people and keeping one another safe. Of course, I fully agree with the desire to protect human life and the self-sacrifice required to do that. In a continued ramp-up to contain the novel coronavirus, Oregon officials on Tuesday announced tight restrictions for visitors to 670 care facilities. Health officials also urged the elderly, especially vulnerable to the disease, to stay home.
